BROWN HORNET

VS.

BEAST BOY

THE SETUP

Beast Boy can become almost any animal that's ever existed, gaining every ability that comes with it. It's one of the most versatile power sets any opponent in this series brings. But no matter what he turns into, he stays exactly the same shade of green, and underneath that green, he's still Garfield Logan.

HOW THE FIGHT PLAYS OUT

Round 01

THE MENAGERIE OPENS

Beast Boy comes in as a full-grown gorilla, betting that raw mass wins the first exchange outright. Marcus's precision-calibrated strength meets the charge head-on and holds its ground without needing to match the size at all.

Round 02

WINGS AND A STING

Beast Boy shifts mid-fight into a peregrine falcon, taking the fight into the air with a series of sharp diving strikes. Marcus's erratic, weaving flight pattern reads every angle change coming, and Panoramic Threat Perception has him out of position before each dive can land.

Round 03

THE VANISHING ACT

Looking to break Marcus's motion-based senses entirely, Beast Boy shrinks down into something small and still, tucked against a chimney stack out of sight. It doesn't work. Chemical Tracking cuts straight through the disguise, since his scent never changes no matter what he's wearing, and the same green coloring gives him away on sight the moment Marcus looks close enough.

Round 04

OUT OF FORMS

Beast Boy tries one last full-power charge, this time as a rhino, but every shift costs him a beat of decision time that Marcus simply doesn't need mid-fight. Marcus reads the charge coming a half-second early, hardens his stance through Adaptive Shapeshifting to answer one shapeshifter's trick with his own, then sidesteps the last of the momentum and lands a controlled takedown before Beast Boy can shift into anything else.

THE VERDICT

WINWon by consistency

Marcus wins, and it's a genuinely fun, back-and-forth fight the whole way. Beast Boy's versatility keeps every round unpredictable, but no single form ever outlasts Marcus's steady senses and precision strength, and the tax of switching forms adds up fast against an opponent who never has to reset.

What This Fight Reveals

Versatility is a real advantage, but it isn't a free one. Every new form Beast Boy takes resets what he can do, while Marcus's toolkit stays exactly the same from the first exchange to the last. It's a fight that shows a fully consistent skill set can outlast an unpredictable one, even when the unpredictable one is objectively more flexible on paper.
